These are a small size Top hat that I switched around to work the way I wanted it to. The hats are Blocked by hand on a hat block. I added French Ribbon and Ostrich feathers to the two hats. I really enjoy this style and wanted to share it. These are the first ones I made like this and so far people have liked them :) The hats have a good Victorian riding hat feel to them, which is why I likely love these ones I made :)

Another hand blocked top hat but from a different block. :)

A cute little tricorn that I don't think I posted here before. I don't have any other good shots of it. It is made with velvet and loads of trim and more French Ribbon! :)

Victorian and Tricorn hats!

I'm always trying to figure out new ways of making my hat styles better. I believe I figured out a good way to make some of my Victorian hats even better!. This is based on some hats from 1870s (1873-1874), I'm working on a few more currently. But I thought I would post my finished one.

I love making tricorns, I think it's my favorite type of hat to make. They take a bunch of time. (not as long as the Victorian) They're fun and I like to make one of a kind works for them. Enjoy :D

I make most of my hats with a buckram base, my top hats I make with a double sided buckram which makes them able to stand up to a lot of punishment. I use millinery wire to help keep the shape of the Victorian and tricorn hats. if they're bent one way they can be bent back into shape.

I just wanted to send out a nice Thank You to everyone in New York & the Dance of Vice crew. It was my first time in the City. (though I grew-up in upstate) I had a ton of fun at the events, though my camera took a turn for the worst, so no shots inside the events. I did get a few images from the picnic. I'll be picking up more and more in my Millinery Adventure in the next up coming months.

I am being eliminated at my daytime job.

I am hoping to be able to switch over to doing my hats full time, but we'll see.

I've been working on pay off any of my debts... (but I still have a HUGE house payment(yes it will scare some of you))

We'll see what happens here soon.

I'll keep making the hats no matter what, it's too much fun! :D
